Bath, England

Not only is Bath a historical hotspot holding some of the best kept Roman historical structures that are open to the public, but it is also a spark for writers such as Jane Austen due to its elegance. In Bath, you have to head to the natural hot springs to relax and unwind. Thermae Bath Spa is just one of the many places that you can go to treat yourself the Bath way while getting 360 view from the rooftop pool.

Bath is also known for its food, so in addition to eating out be sure to book a class at one of the many cookery schools so you can recreate some of your favorite dishes back at home! While visiting, make sure to check out the Sally Lunn house, one of the oldest houses in Bath, where you can find the world-famous Sally Lunn bun as well as other fine English food. For a little evening pick-me-up at the fan favorite Cafe Lucca, an Italian cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea.

Golden Coast (California)

There are endless adventures to be taken in the great state of California. On the southern end, there are world famous beaches, cities and landmarks that have taken the stage for all our favorite Hollywood movies. On the Northern side, there are trees that feel bigger than life, snow-capped mountains, and hiking trails that most people can only dream of experiencing. You can have a luxury laid-back holiday, rough it in the wilderness, or combine both of them and take a road trip up the coast from south to north to experience it all.

Some of the best things to do in the Southern California are Disneyland with the kids and a day trip to Balboa Park. Be sure to experience an Italian dinner at Cotogna in San Francisco and fuel your adventures at Krakatoa coffee shop in San Diego.

In Northern California, start your day at Black Oak Coffee Roasters before driving up to take a hike in Yosemite park and visit some of the most scenic beaches for an outdoor picnic. Dine out at Solage near Napa Valley to taste some of the freshest food made with all local ingredients.

St. Lucia

If you’re looking for a place to relax, get away from the crowds and work on your tan, St. Lucia is the place to go. On this island you can find relaxation as well as adventure all combined into one of the most bright and beautiful places on earth. While the beach is one of the best places to chill, there are also plenty of water activities to enjoy and a big rainforest to explore with the whole family.

On the North side of the island, Pigeon Island National park is a great place to spend a day hiking, snorkeling and visiting the old fort ruins from the 1700s. Make sure to stop by Bayside Restaurant if you’re looking for a cute lunch spot. They have a la carte and beach menus, as well as beach parties every Friday at 6:30! For a caffeine pick-me-up visit Cafe Ole in Rodney Bay Marina for a good cup of coffee as well as a wide selection of smoothies and juices.

PS - Fun Fact

When we travel around the UK we take a small number of planners along with us, in case we get orders while on the road. When we do, we post them from wherever we are on vacation. You'll probably see that the Lake District, Manchester, Wales, and London are on the Lawson holiday line-up!
