Hello, 2018!

Here we are at the beginning of a new journey and another trip around the sun. Each new year affords us the privilege to re-evaluate our lives and start afresh with a more mindful approach to living and savoring life.

As we ring in 2018, we all too often fall into the same rut. We break New Year’s resolutions as quickly as we make them, feel guilty about our failure to complete them and then repeat the cycle of self-criticism.

But what if you could do something different this year to BE more happy, healthy and fulfilled this year? We all have the power to make small changes to better our world. Here are our top five ways you can live a more mindful and fuller life in 2018.


Using controlled breathing, meditation can unwind your stress-filled mind, help you relax and let go of everyday negativity. Even if you have a few minutes a day, meditation can make all of the difference! But you have no time, you say? We got you. Watch this space for a blog post coming up to help you incorporate time and space for meditation into your lives.


Have you always wanted to learn how to paint, photograph better pictures, take up a new language or grow your own herb garden? This is your year to educate yourself on something new! When you expand your horizons, you enrich your life in a whole new way – who knows what kind of doors it will open?


A healthy mind needs a healthy body. Start out simple and pick a type of exercise you enjoy or sounds fun. Or go for a walk. Or try out nontraditional exercise activities like rock climbing, water aerobics, Crossfit or hot yoga.


It’s true when they say that laughter is the best medicine! There are so many things you can do to laugh more often and bust up the stress of everyday life. Our favorites are playing with your kids or pets, rent a funny movie or see a live comedy show. See your BFF and watch a hilarious movie.

Just find space for what will make you feel most like yourself again, whether it’s writing, exercising, or meditating or whatever floats your boa that will allow you to best show up in the world.
